The Gibraltar National Museum may have been closed, but nothing was going to stop it holding its annual Open Day and the virtual version proved a huge success.
On the day its Facebook site had a reach of 15,745, which was 152 per cent up on the previous day and included 5,847 post-engagements, a rise of 463 per cent compared with the day before.
The museum posted numerous videos and informative items between 10am and 6pm, and the virtual facility will continue even once the coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
There is also good news for those in Gibraltar who want to visit the museum in person: this will soon be possible but by appointment only.
