The Gibraltar government has relaxed its lockdown rules for the first time since they came into effect over a month ago and made provision for people over the age of 70 to take exercise outdoors if they so wish.

Several places have been allocated for them to do so as safely as possible, including the Victoria Stadium. These can be used between 10am and midday for an hour at a time and will be disinfected beforehand.

However the government, while stressing that staying home is the safest option and that using these facilities is the next best thing, says over-70s are free to take exercise like everybody else if they prefer, but that it will put them at greater risk.
