The programme of events for the Spring Festival, which runs from 1 May to 20 June, has now been announced. A full run-down can be obtained from the Cultural Department, but in the meantime these are a few of the many highlights coming up soon.
The busy schedule of events kicks off on May Day with music and dance performances in Casemates Square between 11am and 7pm, and 'Art Dance 2019' will be taking place on Saturday 4th in John Mackintosh Square from 8.30 to 10.30 pm, where international artists will be exhibiting their works and local dancers are being invited to participate.
On 8 and 9 May at 8pm at the John Mackintosh Hall there will be a Zarzuela, 'La del Manojo de Rosas', and tickets - which cost £5 - can be purchased from the John Mackintosh Hall from Tuesday 23 April between 9am and 4pm.
On Saturday 11 May from 10am to 3pm there will be a public display of Field Gun Crew in Casemates Square, and on 15 May the Arts Society Gibraltar will be hosting a talk on The Great Velázquez at Court in Madrid at the Garrison Library.
