The fifth series of Gibraltar History Lectures begins at the university this month, with a talk by Dr Geraldine Finlayson, Director of Heritage and Environmental Services at the Gibraltar National Museum, on 'Gibraltar's Medieval History'.
The first lecture in this series will be on 26 October at 10am. All the lectures are free and open to the public, and the schedule for the fifth series includes a talk on Agustin Huart and the workers union by Damian Conroy on 2 November, The Development of English in Gibraltar: A Historical Perspective, by Dr George Garcia on 9 November; Writing Gibraltar, a Personal History by M.G. Sanchez on 23 November, and Families, Genetics and Evolution by Dr Darren Fa on 30 November.
