They may not sound like a regular pairing, but fitness and art are to join forces in Gibraltar this autumn under a new initiative called Fitness Gallery. Organised by the Ministry of Culture together with personal trainer Kezia Lopez, the event will take place at the Gibraltar Exhibition of Modern Art (GEMA) at Montagu Bastion in Line Wall Road, on Saturday 7 October from 9.30am to 12.30 pm.

It will give those who attend the chance to exercise, work out and view art, with presentations from GSC heritage art experts before Kezia leads a fitness class at 10am. The event will also feature fitness, nutrition and beauty pop-ups.

The participation fee will be £38 and includes the art presentation, an hour-long fitness class which is suitable for all levels, manicure and shoulder massages, treats and a recipe book, juices and smoothies and a goodie bag including a special art book.

Culture minister Steven Linares says he is proud that such an exciting initiative is taking place in Gibraltar to promote both art and sport, and he hopes it can be expanded in the future.
