The Gorhams Cave complex will soon be celebrating its first year as a Unesco World Heritage Site and the Gibraltar Museum has decided to mark the anniversary by giving local people the chance to help with the excavation this summer, which will take place between 19 June and 18 August. No previous experience is required as the volunteers will work under the direct supervision of specialists at all times.
Eight places are available and anyone who is interested in participating in the scheme should apply in writing to Dr Geraldine Finlayson, Gorhams Cave Complex World Heritage Site co-ordinator, The Gibraltar Museum, 18-20 Bomb House Lane, Gibraltar, or by email to geraldine.finlayson@gibmuseum.gi
