The number of visitors this year surpassed last year's number. :: SUR
Torremolinos held its popular ‘Día del pescaíto’ (fried fish, typical of the resort) event in the maritime district of La Carihuela on Thursday, in the summer sunshine.
40,000 people turned up for free tastings of grilled sardines, squid and other fish. More than 15,000 kilos of seafood were handed out to locals and visitors alike at no cost, with live music performances throughout the day and a welcome speech from the mayor. Over 20 businesses participated in the event.
