'The World' docks in Malaga
The exclusive cruise ship, 'The World', is currently visiting Malaga port. The well-known ship belongs to wealthy travellers who have bought cabins to travel the world in luxury. It arrived on Monday from Gibraltar and later today it will leave for its next destination, Almería.
'The World' returns to Malaga after five years. The passengers currently travelling in this cruise ship will be able to explore and appreciate the cultural heritage, cuisine and activity that the city has to offer during the ship's three days in the port. The ship is in Malaga's most exclusive quay, closest to the city centre, making use of the service offered by the Palmeral terminal. As well as the 143 passengers in transit, 28 are due to board and 58 due to disembark in Malaga.
The ship first sailed in 2002 and it cost 380 million dollars to build. It is 196 metres in length and has the capacity to accommodate 250 crew members and 200 passengers, therefore allowing plenty of personal attention to its exclusive passengers. The owners of the cabins are able to travel as they please, having the option to board and disembark the cruise ship at any port it visits, which includes countries in all five continents of the world.
