Fishmongers and Restaurant 'Los Mellizos'

The Fishmongers-Restaurant Los Mellizos, has become by its own merits, a recommended establishment for everyone who likes to buy or consume high quality fresh fish on the Costa del Sol. During November, the managers of the establishment have decided to carry out a “return to origins” offer, providing the highest quality fish in its most natural and traditional form - skewed fish.
The winners of the competition can receive their prize by going to the restaurant with their NIE identification before the 30th November, and they are: Moya Rodda y Rafael Morones Burgos.
The Restaurant Los Mellizos is situated on the industrial estate in Arroyo de la Miel, and until the end of the month you will find in its doorway a traditional boat where they barbecue the best and freshest red mullet, sea bream, red snapper, turbot, sea bass.
As if this isn’t enough, the prices of all the specialities are heavily reduced so everyone can discover not only the quality and excellent service of this restaurant, but also enjoy the best quality fish at the lowest prices possible.
The owners, the Montes brothers, offer customers a portion of high quality fresh fish at a very competitive price, and furthermore provide a top quality dining service.
Return to origins
This promotion of skewed fish comes from the return to the origins of the Restaurant – in 1956 Los Mellizos was established by Pepe (Coast Guard) and Loli who placed the first cement foundations in the Malagueño district with a tavern named “Casa Pascual”. Years later they moved to Nerja, on the beach “del Salón”, where they became the snack bar “Los Malagueños”. During this time they combined the snack bar with a small fishmongers in Málaga, which was located in the Cruz de Humilladero district, until in 1982 they decided to leave Nerja and Málaga to relocate to Benalmádena their present location. It’s here they started the chiringuito “Saint Tropez” and the actual fishmongers “Los Mellizos” in Calle de las Flores.
In 1997, with the objective of providing a good service for the comfort of their clients, which were ever increasing they opened their Fishmongers – Lonja Los Mellizos located on the industrial estate in Arroyo de la Miel. From the start they were only going to be a fishmongers, selling the highest quality fresh fish and seafood, but they soon opened a cafe for their customers, which grew over time and became a seafood restaurant where you can enjoy the best fish from the Costa del Sol.
