There was double gold success for Spain at the 2009 ICF Senior Canoe Sprint World Championships on Lake Banook in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada at the weekend.
Firstly on Saturday the Spanish pairing of Emilio Merchan and Diego Cosgaya received gold medals for finishing first in the men's 1000 metres and then on Sunday Spain's K1 relay team, Saul Craviotto, Francisco Llera, Ekaitz Saies and Carlos Pérez took first place in the men's 200 metres.
