The Gaucín local Resident’s Group has demonstrated against Sevillana Endesa’s plan to install a new high tension electricity line which will run for 7.6 kilometres between Gaucín and Cortes de la Frontera.
Residents say the line is not needed as facilities already exist which could be amplified and would not have the same environmental impact. This view is borne out by a study by technical engineer.
More than 2,000 people signed a petition supported by Ecologists in action.
