The man believed to have masterminded the raid of Spanish television and theatre producer José Luis Moreno's house in 2007 was arrested in his native Albania on Sunday.

Astrit Bushi, the alleged leader of the gang which carried out the burglary and brutally assaulted Moreno, had been arrested in November 2008 and sent to prison in Cadiz. However, he was accidentally released by police who sent him home after a court appearance in March instead of taking him back to the cells.

Bushi was captured in the Albanian-Spanish police operation known as 'Arbusto', in which ninety officers collaborated.

Moreno told the press that he was "relieved" that Bushi had finally been caught, and said that his faith in the police force had been restored.
