A 69 year old man has suffered second and third degree burns to half of his body in a house fire which broke out at the victim's flat on Calle Coto de Doñana in the La Victoria neighbourhood of Malaga City on Friday afternoon.
The emergency services, who rushed the victim to the intensive care unit at Carlos Haya hospital, say the man was alone in the house when the fire broke out. He is said to be in a serious condition.
