Yesterday traffic had to be stopped in the centre of Fuengirola when a desperate South American man, who is unemployed and whose girlfriend is pregnant, climbed to the top of a 35 metre high crane in protest at his situation.
After two hours on top of the crane local fire fighters were able to get him down. With his feet firmly on the ground he was taken to the National Police station and charged with causing a public disturbance.
