Chris Naylor thought we might like to warn others about perils of hiring a car in Spain:
"This accident occurred at the end of last week in La Mairena, Elviria. The hire car left the road, crashed through a wall and catapulted over a tree, ending up twenty metres from the road and ten metres up in the air at the staircase entry to an apartment.
Fortunately the occupants of the car (an English couple on holiday) were un-hurt and the owner of the apartment was not at home. We live in dangerous times."
