The consumers organisation Facua - Consumidores en Acción has warned that some of February’s electricity bills being sent out by Sevillana-Endesa are still charging the more expensive rate for power used at the end of 2008. Their warning has been seconded by the regional councillor Francisco Vallejo, who confirmed that “there could still be bills affected by the same situation this month”.
The organisation claims that millions of consumers who were not overcharged on their January bills are being affected by the calculation errors this month. Facua has called for the Junta to thoroughly examine the methods used by Endesa to recalculate the bills to ensure that customers are being paid back the correct amounts.
