Demonstration in Malaga to demand employment in Andalucía
Malaga city's Plaza de la Constitución. / SALVADOR SALAS
Thousands of people - 50,000 according to the organisers and 13,000 according to the Government office in Malaga - gathered in Malaga city centre for the Partido Popular demonstration to demand employment in Andalucía yesterday.

At the demonstration which was organised by the Partido Popular and was against the Zapatero central and Chaves regional government, Javier Arenas demanded a "complete change" in the social and economic policies of the Junta de Andalucía which, according to him, "have only brought unemployment."

The PP regional leader's claims were centred around the fact that there are currently 850,000 people in Andalucía without work and in 250,000 homes all those eligible are unemployed.
