Debt could be behind violent death of Iraqi constructor
The body is removed from the scene. / JOSELE-LANZA
Police officers are following various lines of investigation following the discovery of an Iraqi constructor inside a chalet which was being built on the Golden Mile in Marbella on Tuesday. According to sources close to the case however, one strong possibility is that debt is behind the violent death of A.H.S. (68) who was found face down with a jersey over his head.

At 11 a.m. on Tuesday some workers found the body of the businessman in a blood covered office in the basement of the house.

The results of the autopsy, carried out yesterday in the Instituto de Medicina Legal (IML) in Malaga city's Ciudad de la Justicia (City of Justice) buildings, revealed that the victim had been hit several times on the head with a blunt object.
The body of the A.H.S., who was the owner of a small construction company, was discovered inside a chalet built on 1,535 square metre plot in Calle Margarita in La Carolina development.

The house in Calle Margarita was nearly finished and there are signs outside advertising it for sale.
This has been the second violent death in Marbella this year following the kidnapping and death of businessman Fernando Moreno Espada. Police Chief for Andalucía East, Pedro Mélida, said that he was confident that the latest case would be solved and that the two were not connected.

Meanwhile Malaga Police Chief, Juan Jesús Peñalver, said that A.H.S. had a criminal record.
