Herd of cows makes its presence known in Guadalmar
The cows cross at a dangerous spot. / A.N.R.
Cows calmly crossing the road while drivers wait patiently is certainly unusual but that's what happens every day, sometimes several times a day, at the bridge which runs over the A-7 motorway and goes between the Parador Golf course and the Plaza Mayor commercial centre in the Guadalmar area of Malaga.

Concerned locals told SUR that the herd comes from a cowshed in the San Julián neighbourhood and the animals are taken by two or three people to graze on land which is due to be built on behind Plaza Mayor. "It's dangerous for drivers, as no one expects to come down the bridge and be confronted by 400 kilo animals which they could hit ... Two or three people go with 20 or 30 cows which causes 10 minute waits for traffic every time they cross," one resident in the area said.
