Their odd behaviour raised suspicions and led to their arrest. A few days ago three Africans were arrested by police in Malaga who discovered that the men were hiding a small fortune in counterfeit banknotes.

The incident took place at the beginning of the week when officers approached a Volvo parked on Calle Marta in Malaga city and asked the driver of the car and the two passengers to move along. The three men, Africans of different nationalities, started acted nervously and began shouting at the officers in a foreign language. The police then decided to inspect the vehicle and came across a bag containing wads of counterfeit euro notes. In total officers seized 6,000 euros in fake 50 euro notes, and 455 euros genuine money. Some of the 50 euro notes had been dyed with the same colour ink found on 500 euro banknotes.
