The Royal Air Forces Association provides welfare support for members who may find themselves in difficult circumstances. In order to do this, the association asks bar owners and shop and restaurant proprietors to keep collection boxes in their establishments, and each year, the venue that collects the largest amount receives a trophy in appreciation. The trophy for 2008 was awarded to the Rima Bar in Arroyo de la Miel.
