The animal rescue charity ADANA has received reports that men posing as volunteers for the charity have been stealing dogs, claiming that they are collecting strays. A spokesman for ADANA has said that the charity does not employ dog catchers nor collect stray dogs. Furthermore, all of the charity’s volunteers carry identification cards, so the spokesman advises that if members of the public encounter anyone claiming to be a volunteer, they ask to see this card first. The charity is also asking that members of the public report any suspicious activity to the police.
