International Women’s Day was launched in Copenhagen in 1911, and later on the eve of World War One in 1913, Russian women campaigning for peace observed their first International Women’s Day on the last Sunday in February that same year.
The Hotel Lorcrimar in Puerto Banús will be hosting this year’s Costa del Sol International Women’s Day on Friday March 6th. The event, which commemorates the collective power of women past, present and future, will start with a networking champagne breakfast with key speakers. This will be followed by a women’s lunch and fashion afternoon which includes a showcase, clairvoyant, beauty tips, manicures, massages and much more. A dinner will be held in the evening with live music from 8 p.m.
The breakfast costs 20 euros, lunch is 30 euros, and dinner 45 euros, and money raised will go to Cudeca, the Rhys Daniels Trust and Triple A.
