Echo & The Bunnymen take the dancing horses to Malaga's Cervantes Theatre
ORIGINAL. Ian McCulloch (right) and Will Sergeant (left). / SALVADOR SALAS
Last night in the Cervantes Theatre in Malaga Liverpool legends Echo & The Bunnymen took to the stage for a one off concert in Spain and those who weren't sure what to expect from an unpredictable frontman Ian McCulloch and only other original band member Will Sergeant didn't go home disappointed.

An impressive hour long set of emotive hit songs from the 80s such as 'Bring on the Dancing Horses' and 'The Killing Moon', which Ian McCulloch called the "greatest song of all time", was mixed with numbers from the band's new album 'The Fountain' with 'Whatever You Want' standing out.

The audience, which was mainly British spattered with some Spanish 80s alternative music fans, demanded two encores. The chosen numbers to finish off included a medley of cover versions of songs like Lou Reed's 'Take a Walk on the Wild Side' and Bryan Ferry's 'Midnight Hour' then the band closed with a beautiful version of the infamous 'Ocean Rain'.
This was Echo & The Bunnymen's second concert in the Cervantes and let's hope it won't be too long until they come back for a third.
