DUNES. School students visit the Saladillo-Matas Verdes area.
The Malaga Provincial Government has awarded students from the I.E.S. Mediterráneo high school in Estepona for their conservation project for the Saladillo-Matas Verdes dunes. As part of the project, the students put together a documentary explaining the importance of the flora and fauna of the three-kilometre area. This is in fact the only area of sand dunes on the Mediterranean coastline which sustains certain species usually associated with the Atlantic coastline.
