To do this they have included photos of 16 members of the association when they were children along with words that marked their childhood. “Doce meses, doce frases” (Twelve months, twelve phrases) is the theme of the calendar which includes a picture of a young Julián (January) who remembers his father saying “I’m not ashamed of you because you’re gay, but I would be ashamed if you were homophobic”. “You should have been a girl”, Salvador remembers his mother saying. He appears in February’s picture, along with Antonio, whose mother used to say “Son when you’ve finished with my skirt put it back in the wardrobe”. October shows a little girl who, now a grown woman, remembers her brother (who was studying in the seminary) saying, “You’re not the first lesbian in the Catholic Church and you won’t be the last”.
