Recently more than 30 Costa del Sol pensioners enjoyed a lunch courtesy of Age Care Association. The guests, some of whom are housebound, elderly or frail, were transported to the Manila Bar in Fuengirola. There they enjoyed a Christmas lunch during which they were entertained by the music of Chas Burnett. After lunch the La Cala Lions singers arrived to provide some Christmas carols. Then Santa arrived complete with an armful of presents for every guest after which there was a free draw. The guests had a delightful afternoon, and for several it was a rare opportunity to have lunch outside of their own house. Charles Betty, Chairman, thanked the sponsors of the lunch and Pepe Savignon, speaking on behalf of the guests, also thanked them as well as Age Care Association for the work that they do for the elderly along the Costa del Sol.
