Around 14 vehicles parked in the vicinity of Malaga airport’s P-3 free car park were found with broken windows and punctured tyres on Thursday January 1st. The majority of the vehicles had foreign registration plates.

The Local Police were called to the scene and confirmed that it appeared to be an isolated case of vandalism. However similar cases have been reported in the same area over the last two months with another 30 vehicles suffering damage, some sitting for days or even weeks with their windows broken until their owners returned to collect them.

The airport police unit has opened an investigation. While motives of theft have not been ruled out officers believe that they are dealing with plain vandalism.
