Manolo Valdés to exhibit works on Malaga's Calle Larios next March
Valdés's sculptures of 'meninas' (lady's maids) on show in France.
Malaga's Calle Larios is turning into something of an open-air museum. Works by artists of the calibre of Tony Cragg, Miguel Berrocal and August Rodin have graced the city's old town in the past, and between March 3rd and 29th next year, sculptures by Manolo Valdés (Valencia, 1942) will be exhibited on the street and in the Plaza de la Marina.

The exhibition is being organised by Malaga City Hall and La Caixa Foundation as part of its programme of travelling exhibitions, and this particular exhibition will comprise 15 large sculptures, the majority of them designed especially for the La Caixa project. The artist has exhibited in Valladolid, Seville, Mallorca, Bilbao, Barcelona and Zaragoza, as well as in several other European countries.
