The Ark Explorers, who meet at the Ark Christian Fellowship in Fuengirola, had a weekend away recently on a endurance camp on the USA Naval Base in Rota, Cadiz. There they met lots of other scouts, who they got to know very well and hope to keep in touch with. In the evenings there were campfires when everyone sang songs and did sketches, which were filled with lots of fun and laughter. Activities included archery, building fires with only one match, pitching up tents blindfolded and an orientation course using a compass. The troop also visited an airfield where they got to go inside the Control Tower, the Radar room and the cockpit of a C17 aircraft. Overall everyone had a great time and wouldn't hesitate at the opportunity to do it all over again.
