A large congregation comprising members of several churches raised the roof as well as “the song of harvest-home” at the Lux Mundi Harvest Thanksgiving in the Ecumenical Centre in Torre del Mar on Sunday 26th October.
Favourite harvest hymns formed part of the service of Festal Choral Evensong, and the choir also contributed an Introit by Vaughan Williams, settings of the Canticles by Stanford, and an old harvest carol by way of an anthem.

After the service the congregation enjoyed an abundant and varied hot supper prepared by ladies of the churches. The customary generous gifts of foodstuffs and a cash collection have been shared between the refuge for victims of domestic violence and the children’s home in Malaga.
