Former English football player David Pleat named Marbella FC adviser
David Pleat is the new adviser at Marbella FC.
Former English football player and manager David Pleat addressed 35 members and guests at a British Chamber of Commerce luncheon at the Alanda Club last Tuesday, in his new role as adviser to Marbella Football Club. David’s playing career began in 1962 at Nottingham Forest and continued with Luton Town, Shrewsbury Town, Exeter City and Peterborough United. His managerial career included Sheffield Wednesday and Tottenham Hotspur. In his position, David hopes to give opportunities to “young English boys not getting the opportunities of 20 years ago due to foreign mercenaries.”
